Print and Cut works with all model Mimaki printers and FX series cutters. The cutters can also perform Print and cut with other printers and even laser printers. |

Mimaki’s unique Print and Cut System enables maximum production from both printer and cutter simultaneously. The cutter has an infrared eye which automatically detects registration marks, allowing it to cut a 50 metre roll of stickers accurately and unattended, or perform standard vinyl cutting jobs, whilst leaving the printer free to print other jobs. The one computer controls all this.
Additionally Mimaki’s proprietary half cut system allows complete die cutting of stickers through the vinyl and backing in the shape of the sticker and at full bleed. This remarkable system is available in 608mm, 750mm, 1300mm and 1600mm.
Mimaki’s “Fine Cut” cutting software is supplied with the system. This is a comprehensive and easy to use cutting program which runs within Corel Draw and Illustrator. |

| Productivity |
Mimaki's ability to run both the printer and cutter simultaneously from the one computer is the most productive solution available. Many jobs need cure time or laminating prior to cutting. Jobs just printed yesterday and laminated this morning can be cut while the printer is already producing today's jobs. |
| Accuracy |
It is common knowledge that vinyls can expand or distort with heat. Because Mimaki use separate equipment there is no need to wait 3 hours for the printer to cool down to get accurate cutting. Mimaki's cutting accuracy is typically 0.005mm, a big leap on 4% of competitors combined print and cut machines. |
| Flexibility |
Offers the widest range of flexibility including kiss cutting, half-cutting (akin to die-cutting), independent use of both machines simultaneously and the ability to produce full bleed stickers. |
| Reliability |
All vinyl cutting produce cutting dust and swarf. Because separate machines are used the is no chance of the cutting dust to affect the reliability of the print heads of the printer. |
