| Mimaki UJV-160 - Media and ink upgrades |
| Mimaki has announced the enhanced version of its UV LED curing hybrid printer UJV-160 for roll and rigid substrates.
The upgraded machine can accommodate rigid media of up to 12 kg (until recently 2 kg) enabling printing on substrates such as acrylic and aluminum compound boards used by the signage and display industry.
The UJV-160 will continue to use the flexible ink developed with 3M and will add a hard UV ink with white. Inks will come in reusable Eco-packaging with 600 ml content saving up to 30 to 40% on ink costs. The upgraded printer is due mid April and the white ink June 2009. |

| Mimaki announces the JV33BS with lowest cost inks |
Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. has released the JV33BS with the most affordable ink of any printer in its class. The BS2 ink is a Mimaki product and includes full factory warranty and support.
The machine has two configurations for ink delivery. Utilising the MBIS bulk ink system with 2 litre bladders the savings are save up to 60% over the competitors.
The printer is also available with reusable cartridges that take a 600 ml bladder of ink.

Mimaki announces Continuous Bulk Ink for JV33 and JV5 |

Mimaki Engineering Co., Ltd. has introduced a continuous bulk-ink system (CBS). The system features: unattended volume printing; print end detection; 12H minimum (2L), 24H maximum (4L); continuous operation with UISS function; lower ink cost; combined use of bulk inks with 440 cartridges is available; and an eco-friendly; replace only ink pack, not cartridges.
The Mimaki Bulk-ink Supply System will fit the JV33-130/160 (8 x 2L bag) and the JV5-130/160/320 (16 x 2L bag). It supports dye sublimation ink and solvent ink (HS inks, Eco-HS inks and SS21 inks). It is expected to be available in January 2009. |

The all new Epson C110 has been released for use with ArTainium UV+ Dye-sublimation inks. This A4, 4 colour machine features a dual black, making for more cost effective printing. Requiring only a very small foot space this base model entry-level machine is great for home use and small kiosks where space is limited. The new Epson C110 replaces the C80 series printers including the C80, C82, C83, C84, C86, C87 and C87+. This new system can not be combined with one of these existing model printers due to the new and advanced dual black, but will retail for the same price.
